Let’s tax soft drinks that contain sugar, what a novel idea from our friendly legislators in New York. They finally found the cause of the obesity, no, it wasn’t lack of exercise, and no, it wasn’t huge hamburgers and fries from a fast food restaurant – it was that can of Coke you suck down every day. I know, some people drink very large amount of soft drinks, but many of them are not overweight. In my office I see people literally surrounded by mountains of empty Coke or Pepsi cans, but again, those people are not fat. What gives?
I don’t know, I’m not a nutritionist. But perhaps amount of fat and calories in those soft drinks pale in comparison to highly processed foods we ingest three or more times a day. Hey, let’s levy additional tax on all foods that contains more than 50 calories. That will teach them…
Exercise daily: It is very essential to burn calories to lose weight. Along with dietary changes one should do at least 30 to 45 mins exercise daily. The quality of exercise can vary from simple walk to yoga. Walk with the baby outside for an hour or two – fresh air is good for both baby and you.

It will take you a good nine months to get back to your weight prior to pregnancy. A go-slow approach is best because you need to give your body time to recover after childbirth. Certainly, you might be able to lose weight faster, but don’t.
You will definetly get some exercises while taking care of your newborn. And as child grows older she or he will require more of your energy. If that’s not enough here are few additional tips:
Relax, take your time, start eating healthy.
Begin exercising slowly, stretching, ball exercises are good. Yoga is perfect if you have time.
Try swimming, it’s the only exercise that works out most if not all muscle groups at the same time. And it’s relaxing at the same time.

If you’re overweight before you get pregnant, chances are you’ll gain more weight than average during the pregnancy and retain more than a normal weight woman after delivery. The best solution is to lose weight before you get pregnant.
Ask your doctor before you attempt to starve yourself while pregnant. Remember your baby needs nutrition, she or he is growing fast. Wait until you give birth to start dieting.
Former talk show host Ricki Lake, 40, talks to People Magazine about her 140 lb weight loss and how she is able to hold steady after previously weighing 270 pounds. “I can’t believe I was a fat person for most of my life.” “I didn’t have surgery and I worked hard. There’s no secret. I’m active. I watch what I eat.” The mom of two boys, Milo, 11, and Owen, 6 adds that she’s certainly not immune to the pressure to stay thin.
To that I have to say: Please, you have personal trainers, chefs and nannies to keep you in check. The only reason you are fat is because you are lazy. We, regular people, with no access to luxuries of celebrity lifestyle, have to lose weight relying solely on our own abilities and motivations. We don’t have personal trainers nagging us to work out or person chefs cooking healthy food that actually taste good and nannies to take care of our kids when we are working out. So, again, please, we are so happy for you Ricki. You are so cool… NOT.
According to a new study, obese women who receive weight-loss surgery before getting pregnant are far more likely to have a healthy baby with no complications. The study was led by Dr. Melinda Maggard from Rand Cop in Santa Monica, California. They claim that bariatric surgery helped a lot both the mother and baby. It helped future mothers to normalize menstrual cycles which allows women to get pregnant faster. But more importantly, the surgery decreases chances of birth complications.
Of course, if you are obesse there are plenty of health risks, and if you get pregnant it complicates everything. You can’t diet because you need nutrition to support the baby. So the moral of this story: lose weight before you get pregnant – you will be better of.
Democrat’s victory, and specifically Obama’s victory, will ensure that useless restrictions on science research will be lifted contrary to the wishes of religious zealots who got into their head that they are allowed to control what American public thinks and does. He already lifted the ban for pro-choice research and stem cell research. This is a cause for celebration, I’ll go get drunk now while trying to clone little babies using stem cells and performing abortions on the unsuspecting nuns. You should enjoy this moment of freedom too.

Drew Barrymore claims that her tongue piercing helped her to lose weight. I don’t doubt it for a second. If you know anyone who had a tongue pierced or have your own tongue pierced – you know how painful and uncomfortable it is. And if it gets infected – watch out – you won’t be able to eat normally for weeks.
But here’s a small advice to Drew: next time staple your mouth shut, it will be more effective to control your diet.
